"Any Christian who believes that homosexuality is a more important issue than justice for the poor just hasn't read his Bible straight." -- David Hilfiker

Books

I actually abandoned a book I was reading. I don't do that very often. It was what I hoped was a mindless techno-thriller, I wanted something light and entertaining. It was incoherent. I couldn't tell who was who or what was going on. It felt like it started in the middle of the book. I can't even remember the author or the title.

So I went to the library and got a biography of Woody Guthrie that is starting out well. I also got Jimmy Carter's An Hour Before Daylight as a backup, I've heard that is pretty good.

Confederate Monuments, of course.

Another guy at work and myself spent ninety minutes today talking to a newspaper reporter about Confederate monuments. The reporter is doing a follow-up to this story. I can't wait to see what he makes of my babbling. He sure was taking a lot of notes. If the article comes out I'll link to it here or email it to my four readers.

Music

I got a couple of CD's of MP3s from James in the mail yesterday, but haven't had time to dive into them yet. My CD burner isn't acting like I want it to. I should just buy an MP3 player.

I have been dating the same girl for a over a month, which is somewhat of a miracle. She has fuzzy slippers that say "Girls Rock" on them.

I'd taken the cure and had just gotten through...
