Famous For 2 Seconds
The results of the 90 minutes the reporter spent talking to me were published last Sunday. I almost missed it. You can read it here. The first five (short) paragraphs in the "Shaping History" section are all pretty much me.
Other news: I'm enjoying the hell out of the Woody Guthrie biography. Of course I've had to pull out my copy of Dust Bowl Ballads. I just got it a couple of months ago, it sounds much better than another CD version I heard years ago. Sounds like Bob Dylan got most of his first two albums from this. I've been enjoying it so much, I really want this now. I might just go ahead and buy the damn thing. Because I can.
I'm already waiting for The Ventures Live in Japan '65 to come in the mail. Speaking of buying shit, the combination of a 30% off coupon and an income tax refund allowed me to justify buying The Complete Far Side. God, what a bargain, the book is beautifully put together and will keep me entertained for a long time.
Yeah, I love buying shit, and life is good when you can do it. I haven't been completely selfish, I've being going around to some unsavory places trying to help some folks out and at the same delude myself that I'm not totally self-centered.
