Okay Damn It . . . Here's the Witch Document

Ha ha. You probably can't read it. What follows is my best stab (took almost 20 minutes) at transcribing this thing. The brackets indicate where I don't know what in the hell it says. At least one of them is someone's name, and some of them are abbreviations for legal boilerplate stuff that someone could pick up pretty quickly by looking at more documents and checking some reference books. Here goes:

The hon Genl Court
Jno [ ] humbly
[ ] [ ] [ ] having his wife ~
brought to this hon Court as a conflicted
Person: being concourse with familiar
Spirits under [ ] notion of a Wich
[ ] yo (your) pettr (petioner) great Damage and Detrim.
yo pettr humbly prays of this hon Court
may bring [ ] [ ] [ ] proofe and legal
[ ]eing so far a Distance and yo pettr
[ ] in Duty bound
Shall pray

There is no date on this thing. Judging with my limited experience, from looking at the handwriting I'd say it is after 1710 or 1715, but probably before the 1760's.

I hope you all enjoyed it.

P.S. I went out with Phone Tag Lady last weekend and we had a nice time. She said she would go out with me again.
