Oops
I went to a job interview last Tuesday. It's for a job with the same agency I work for now. Higher pay grade but not as much fun. More job security, but not as much fun. More challenging intelectually, but not as much fun. I showed up for the interview spot on time, smartly dressed. The only problem was it is next Tuesday, not last Tuesday. I told the interviewing supervisor (whom I know) I felt like a moron. He said not to worry about it and it would be our secret. And here I was, up until 1 AM the morning before reading record retention schedules and public records law.
I ran it by a couple other managers and they said if I do well in the interview it that little escapade won't matter one bit.
Fun
This weekend I am going to Nerdfest Wonderfest.
I know, its really fucking nerdy. My brother goes every year and has been bugging me to go, so maybe we'll have some fun. I think of much worse ways to spend weekends than drinking coffee and watching cheesy monster movies. Hell, sometimes I stay home and do that.
I can take consolation in the fact that there is no way in hell it as nerdy as this. The person who built that is just a cock.
