Geeks Galore

As promised, last weekend I went to Wonderfest in Louisville, KY. The main focus of the show were these different companies' high-end resin model kits of horror and science fiction characters. Kits of scantily clad women were popular too.

I mostly went to hang out with my brother and his friends. I'm into comic books and used to really be into movie special effects so there was plenty of that shit there to keep me occupied.

Of course, there were Storm Troopers there:

Here are some kits that were entered in a contest:
(note the ubiquitous face hugger from Aliens on the left, and the not-so-ubiquitous Monster that Challenged the World second from left.)

And here is a painted bust of the Bride of Frankenstein I was pretty impressed with:

The funnest part of the weekend was hanging out with my brother and the other guys and watching movies and making fun of people.

Last Watched:

The Mad Doctor of Blood Island (1969).

Humanoids from the Deep (1980).

The Time Machine
(1960).

The Thing (1982).

The Family Guy, Season 2
(1999).
