A New Toy

Woo hoo, I just got a digital camera.

Here is a picture of Pogo Possum I just took:

Damn, damn, it is a beautiful day, I want to go play with this. But I got some crap I have to do.

Reading:

Honoring the Civil War Dead: Commemoration and the Problem of Reconciliation, by John R.Neff, University Press of Kansas, 2005. (This is the crap I gotta do, some research for something I said I'd write)

Last Watched:

Windtalkers (2002). This movie was pretty dumb but fun to watch. Nicholas Cage killed hundreds of Japs, and the battle scenes were good in a Wiley Coyote getting hit with an anvil kind of way.

Can't Take It Out of the CD Player:

The Delivery Man, Elvis Costello, 2004. I'm just enjoying the heck out of this thing. Particularly track 3, "There's a Story in Your Voice." One review I read described Lucinda Williams' singing on this as "unhinged." I described it to someone as "she sounds like a drunken insane woman who just crawled out of the swamp." I guess that's the same thing.

I'd taken the cure and had just gotten through...
