I don't know why I give a shit about the Oscars. They're pretty meaningless, but I watch them almost every year and get upset when Martin Scorsese does not win best director. And this year was no exception. Oh well, he remains with Alfred Hitchcock and Robert Altman in the ranks of people who never won best director.
