The Biggest Asshole on the Road . . .
. . . last Saturday night was myself.
I was driving up to Wake Forest when some asshole in an SUV almost plowed into me when they attempted to change lanes.
Of course I honked my horn, and much to my horror, my horn continued to blare, even after I took my hands off it. Frantically beating on it would make it stop for 5 seconds to a couple minutes. For the rest of the drive, it just spontaneously start to honk. Sometimes I would be sitting at a red light, and it would just go off. People would look at me and see me beating it in a rage trying to stop it, while they thought I was hitting it to make it honk. I must have been a sight.
On the plus side, a lot of people got the hell out of my way. On the down side, I got flipped off several times. I'm grateful I didn't get my ass kicked.
I got to where I was going, and drove home about 4 hours later with no problems. I drove my car again today to my parent's house and then to have some coffee with weird friends, and my horn didn't beep once. Of course, now I'm afraid to use it. I almost gave the polite little toot to someone who did not notice a light had turned green, but I stopped myself. No more polite toots from me.
