Wednesday, May 19, 2004 ::: At Loose in the Wilds of Eastern NC
Last night I went to a town about an hour away and gave a talk to the local historical society. The subject of my talk was Confederate Monuments and it seemed to be well received. I can't believe I got paid to stand up and babble about one of my favorite subjects. I've given up expecting refreshments at these things. It was the usual crowd, little old ladies and the president of the organization who looked like Al Gore.
