A Freakin' Singin' Show
Campus today was a freakshow.
In addition to that, I attended a going-away party for someone at the school library. The party was completed with a rendition of "So Long, Farewell" from The Sound of Music.
All the above are beyond the power of my meager writing skills to describe.
A Couple of Links:
The Dullest Blog in the World. I don't recall where I ran across that one.
Famous People in Menstrual Hygiene Advertising . Don't ask how I found that site last night.
Reading: (I'll be so damn glad when class is over.)
An Introduction to Automatic Fire Sprinklers, Part 1. By Nick Artim.
Quote of the Day:
After a while we came out of the mountains, and there were trees along both sides of the road, and a stream and ripe fields of grain, and the road went on, very white and straight ahead, and then lifted to a little rise, and off on the left was a hill with an old castle, with buildings close around it and a field of grain going right up to the walls and shifting in the wind.
--- Ernest Hemingway, The Sun Also Rises, 1926.
Bonus Quote of the Day: (damn, I love this book. every line in it is a jewel.)
Brett was damned good-looking. She wore a slipover jersey sweater and a tweed skirt, and her hair was brushed back like a boy's. She started all that.
--- Ernest Hemingway, The Sun Also Rises, 1926.
